Brewers right-hander Yovani Gallardo made about statement minutes ago about being robbed at gunpoint early this morning as he and clubhouse attendant Alex Sanchez grabbed some food.
Sanchez is at work today and Gallardo nfl jerseys went about his normal routine before giving the statement just before 5 p.m. Here is what he said:
"Obviously we all heard the news about what happened last night. It’s a scary moment for me and for Alex. It’s a tough situation. Things like that happen in every city no matter where you go. It’s just unfortunate that it happened to me and him. It was just one of those random things. I had never had a problem like this before. We’re all very thankful.
"(We were) just going out and getting a bite to eat before heading home and trying to stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, trouble finds us. Nobody was seriously hurt. Both of us are fine and that’s the main thing.
"This won’t be a distraction. It’s getting taken care of Arizona Cardinals jersey . It’s being investigated and things like that. We’re just going to forget about it, forget it happened and let the police officers and the police department do (their) work and finish the season off strong.
"We still have a month to go. I still have to go out there and perform and do my job."
