The Bucs got good news just five days before their season opener against the Browns. Starting QB Josh Freeman(notes) practiced for the first time since breaking his right (throwing) thumb and expects to play on Sunday.
Freeman, a second-year player out of cheap nfl jerseys
Kansas State, banged his right thumb on the helmet of a pass rusher in a preseason game against the Chiefs on Aug. 21. In practice Tuesday, Freeman did not wear a bandage or protective splint on the thumb.
Freeman doesn't fear reinjuring the hand. "I won't be Pittsburgh Steelers jersey
thinking about it," he said.
This also gives him time to continue acquainting himself with rookie WRs Mike Williams and Arrelious Benn(notes). The Bucs went 3-13 in 2009 and ranked 24th in the league in passing yards per game.
