Report: Dolphins DE Odrick out six weeks with broken fibula
After a promising debut against the Bills, Dolphins rookie DE Jared Odrick(notes) will now miss six weeks with a broken right fibula, reported NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.
Odrick, the 28th overall pick in the football jerseys
2010 NFL draft, suffered an injury in the third quarter of Sunday's season-opening victory over the Bills, first reported as a deep thigh bruise. Already expecting him to miss Week Two, the Dolphins will now be without the rookie for six weeks.
Odrick had a tackle for loss in his NFL Indianapolis Colts jersey
debut.
The way we see it
This is a big loss for the Dolphins' defensive line, as the team was counting on Odrick to improve the pass rush. Odrick has been in the starting role since the summer and got into the backfield to record a tackle for loss last Sunday. Earlier Tuesday, the Dolphins re-signed DE Lionel Dotson(notes) as Minnesota Vikings jersey
insurance. Five-year veteran Tony McDaniel(notes) will likely start for Odrick, with Dotson coming into the game as well.
