New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs has been fined $10,000 by the NFL for tossing his helmet into the stands during the third quarter of Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Colts. Jacobs issued another apology for the incident and said he met with both general manager Jerry Reese and coach Tom football jersey
Coughlin on Monday. The running back made it clear he did not request a trade.
"I want to apologize one more time for accidentally tossing my helmet in the stands," Jacobs said in a statement issued by the team. "It was something that happened because I was frustrated with the game, and I had no business tossing my helmet in the first place, and I am thankful that nobody was hurt."
Jacobs is fortunate the fine was only $10,000. If he'd drawn blood, I think a suspension and a $50,000 fine would've been in order. But the Giants will hope that Jacobs is finished whining. I'm not so sure.
"I talked to Jerry and Coach Coughlin yesterday," he added. "Both of Bears jersey
them asked to speak with me, I didn't request a meeting with them. I have not demanded a trade and have no plans to demand a trade. The only demand I am making right now is of myself, to be the best player I can be and to help this team win."
